Poetry Workshop w/ CD Eskilson

Dog Ear Books
312 W 2nd St
Russellville, Arkansas
Join poet, editor, and literary translator CD Eskilson for a poetry workshop and reading from their debut poetry collection Scream / Queen, which examines queerness, mental illness, and transgender identity through the lens of thrillers and B movies. Though the current climate of trans panic pervades the book, Scream / Queen ultimately conjures a world full of hope and tenderness that celebrates the body’s possibilities.
Poems from the collection have been published in Academy of American Poets, Florida Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Booth, and Ninth Letter, among others.
CD is poetry co-editor at Split Lip Magazine and a member of the Beloit Poetry Journal reading team. CD was previously poetry editor at Exposition Review, where they were also a board member. They also worked as the Series Coordinator for the Open Mouth Literary Center. CD earned their MFA from the University of Arkansas where they were awarded the Walton Family Fellowship in Poetry, the James T. Whitehead Award in Poetry, the James E. & Ellen Wadley Roper Fellowship in Creative Writing, and the Lily Peter Fellowship in Translation.
